Future of Tablets?

Reading all the press covering the first day of sales of the iPad, I think what is most impressive about the iPad is the touchscreen interface, the form factor (smaller, lighter, no top that needs to be opened), and the iPhone-type app interface instead of a desktop browser metaphor.

What the iPad is missing so far is the ability to substitute for a laptop’s functionality in creating content and using Office apps. The iPad isn’t a working laptop substitute, yet.
