Spring brings fertile ground for new growth… and new people

I’ve been quiet on the blog front lately, but that’s not to say that there hasn’t been a lot going on when it comes to growing our Cheskin Added Value team. With Spring emerging and Summer almost here, it’s no exaggeration to say that our garden is blooming. We’ve nicely survived having been ‘acquired’ and joining Added Value and the WPP family. After almost two and a half years together, we are still getting to know each other, collaborating on projects and definitely feeling like 1+1=3. And, we’re busy! We’ve added three new people in the past few weeks with plans to hire more.
Mani Pande joins us a strategic director in the Technology studio. Coming from Institute for the Future, she brings a cool mix of quant, ethno, technology and futures. A quick thinker, she’s already added lots of new ideas and musings. She’s poised to add some valuable insights to our blog as well so stay tuned.
After looking forever (and those who track our ads know I’m not joking), we found Kalil Vicioso to join our Intercultural studio in New York as a strategic director. Coming from Joliffe Research, he’s a dream come true to Cheskin Added Value with experience in both Hispanic and African American consumer research.
Bruce Conner, also a strategic director, joins Kalil in the Intercultural Studio. We found our segmentation guy: he’s already hit the ball out of the park on significant projects. Bruce works from a home-based office in North Carolina.
We’ve got demand and room for more. We’re still looking for senior qualitative research people with strong ethnography backgrounds; skilled moderators for our Hispanic practice; junior level quant analysts in NY and Redwood Shores and even a bit of administrative support. All these newbies make life fun for our newly minted studio leaders. Stacie Cheng has been crowned studio leader of Technology Strategy & Design and Tommy Stinson returned from paternity leave, stepping right up to become the studio leader for our Experience Strategy & Design studio.
It’s been a whirlwind year so far and I’m already looking forward to Summer and a little vacation time… but not until our open positions are filled! (In the meantime, I’ll settle for a little celebration at our upcoming paella party.)prev next
